WIFS Design Expert Vice President of Global Product Consumer Design for Whirlpool Corporation
Since joining Whirlpool in 1995, Charles L. Jones has played an instrumental role in the design of various consumer products by listening to the desires of consumers and lending these ideas to the product development process. Jones is internationally recognized as a key leader in effectively managing the many different aspects of product design as well as establishing and leading intercultural product development functions.
While under his leadership, the Whirlpool design team has become renowned for their innovative ideas. The team has been honored for their achievements in product design and development, receiving over 30 prestigious awards from organizations around the world.
Viewed as a thought leader in the area of brand development, Jones lends years of experience in linking brand strategies and deep consumer insights to the product development process. Throughout his entire career, he has been responsible for overseeing product development and global industrial design. Jones' experience allows him to be proactive in all facets of the design process and to help Whirlpool create functional, dependable products to suit consumer needs.
A graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Industrial Design and Human Factors Engineering, Jones continues to be actively involved in the Industrial Designers Society of America and the Human Factors Society since 1979.
